Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps — collected automatically via server logs.
Communications: inquiry messages sent through the platform.
Identity verification: CNIC images and verifier details submitted by tutors for identity verification purposes only.
3. How We Use Your Data
To create and manage your account.
To display your public profile to visitors and other users.
To facilitate connections between students, tutors, and institutes.
To send platform notifications and transactional emails (e.g. approval, password reset).
To verify tutor identities and maintain platform integrity.
To improve our services through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only:
With service providers (hosting, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements.
When required by Pakistani law or valid legal process.
With your explicit consent.
Public profile information (name, headline, bio, photo, subjects) is visible to all visitors unless you set it to private.
5. Your Privacy Controls
You control the visibility of your profile data:
Toggle your phone number public or private from your profile settings.
Toggle your profile photo public or private.
Enable or disable public resume download.
Request profile deletion at any time from the Danger Zone in your profile settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days from production systems. Anonymised aggregated data may be retained for analytics.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures: HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords (bcrypt), server-side access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no online system is 100% secure — you use the platform at your own risk.
8. Third-Party Content & Fraud Disclaimer
Important: Study Networks is a directory and connection platform. We do not vet, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any tutor's qualifications, institute's programmes, or any information posted by users.
Study Networks is not responsible for any fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive activity carried out by any user, tutor, or institute on or through this platform. If you encounter fraudulent activity, report it immediately to abuse@studynetworks.net and to the relevant Pakistani authorities (FIA Cyber Crime Wing: fia.gov.pk).
Always verify credentials independently before making any payments or enrolment decisions.
9. Children's Privacy
Our platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us at privacy@studynetworks.net.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email and post a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
