About the Institute
Government Post Graduate College, Abbottabad (GPGC No.1) was established in 1944 in a rented building on Mansehra Road; its present building on Link Road, Abbottabad was inaugurated in 1954 by NWFP Chief Minister Abdul Qayyum Khan. It is one of the oldest and most prominent government colleges in the Hazara division, offering intermediate through postgraduate programs.
